AS PER 'A.E' CATALOGUE, PLEASE ADVISE CUSTOMER;
The following should be considered when scrapping used sodium-cooled valves:
Drill a bore in the middle of both ends or break the valve stem in two pieces. ENSURE
THAT NO PART OF THE VALVE COMES IN CONTACT WITH WATER AT THIS
STAGE. After that is completed, throw no more than 10 of thevalves prepared as
above into a vessel filled with water. Move away rapidly as a sudden and violent
chemical reaction will occur. After that the parts can be scrapped in the usual way.
